On.com Review: Why It Just Doesn’t Work for a Matchmaking Site Online

Summary

It may have some big-name advertising, but it's got nothing to back it up. The site layout is a total mess, and the user population is full of the dregs of the web.

Sites like On.com might claim to be supported by big names like CNN, but that means absolutely nothing. It just means that their advertising department is focusing on the wrong thing.

That’s pretty obvious.

The more time that we spent on this site, the more it became pretty obvious that it’s just a bunch of people posting inappropriate pictures of themselves and nothing else.

Matchmaking SCAM ALERT Image

While that might be the kind of style of dating that some people enjoy, it’s really not for us. It doesn’t do anything but rub us the wrong way, and we weren’t happy about it.

This site doesn’t have the vibe of anyone actually being serious about finding their match. This is something that becomes even more clear as time went on in our review.

It’s also a piss-poor site.

In general, we try to be very forgiving as far as layouts go. If the site is otherwise well-managed, we can usually tolerate them, but that’s not the case when it’s this bad.

This site, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to understand how to really put anything together and not have broken images. This makes for a very disconcerting site overall.

We weren’t happy about it. This whole site just put us off, and it really made us realize that it’s just not worth a single ounce of our time. It’s one pathetic excuse of a site.

The Numbers Were Disappointing

We ended up spending a grand total of five months on our On review, and during that time, we sent out a total of 200 chat messages to women that we ended up finding online.

It didn’t pay off.

From those 200 chat messages, we could only get a grand total of 49 responses. This was really below our expectations, and we weren’t happy to see this number at all.

From those 49 responses, only 3 women actually wanted to schedule dates with us, and ultimately not a single one of them actually showed up to meet us on those days.

We were very disappointed in all of this. This site just continuously missed the mark, and it was something that we didn’t even want to think about coming back to.

Site Features We Didn’t Enjoy

There was a lot to dislike about this site, and honestly, no number of On tips would ever be able to help you out with it. It’s just a really big failure of a matchmaking site.

It starts with the layout.

If they put as much time into their design as they did in advertising incorrectly, the site might actually be successful. Instead, it’s just one big hot mess, and we hated it.

This whole site just really made us feel like we were going around in circles and never finding a single thing that we were looking for. This really didn’t make us feel good.

We were very annoyed by this site. It just can’t even compete with some of our favorites, and not being able to meet the numbers that we were looking for was no good.

On.com Is a Poor Excuse of a Matchmaking Site

We weren’t happy with On.com at all. This isn’t a good site, and it just doesn’t even try to come close to giving you the results that you want. You don’t stand a chance.

You won’t meet your match here.

Because the site is so poorly designed, there’s no way that anyone would want to stick around and keep using it. It’s just a really bad site, and that’s something we figured out quickly.

With a layout like this, you’re not ever going to be able to get the attention that you want. This is why we couldn’t wait to leave, and move onto a site that we knew worked.

We have our favorites, but they’re definitely proven–like Match.com. It’s the best of the best, and it’s shown that to us in our results in the past. That’s why we keep coming back.

Don’t miss it.

The right site can steer you to your match.
